Party of Five: Jayson Werth Selected to All Star Game

I just got to State College, PA for our Annual Arts Festival at Penn State so I was unable to comment on today’s news until now.  I have to say, great job by Charlie Manuel picking Jayson “Show me what you’re” Werth to fill Beltran’s spot in the outfield for the All Star Game.  An all Phillie outfield is more than I could ask for, it should be a hell of a game to watch.  Isn’t it unbelieveable that our #2-6 hitters are in the game?

When it comes to tonight’s game, I’m happy we beat the Pirates because there are a ton of Pittsburgh fans here and I really didn’t want them to have more things to say to me on top of the Super Bowl and Stanley Cup.  Anyway, 7-1 on the homestand is great, we have five all stars, and life is good again in Philly.

Also, Coste to the Astros and Church for Francouer.  Don’t know what to say now, I just hope Francouer plays as bad as he did last year.  I can’t believe I missed the first no-hitter of 2009, Johnathan Sanchez?  Wow.  It sucks for him that Juan Uribe made an error or he would’ve had a perfect game.  Amazing.  I’m out.  Leave me some comments!
